“A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman.”
— Melinda Gates
As women, society tells us how we’re allowed to share our voice. And too often, expectations and cultural norms box us in.
We speak up — and we’re too forceful.
We get angry — and we’re a bitch.
We explain something — and we’re interrupted.
We get emotional — and we’re weak.
All of these judgments start defining our self worth, our identity, and our voice from a young age. And we take these feelings and experiences with us through adulthood — unless we actively work to leave them behind.
Own Your Voice – Women’s Empowerment Workshops
Our newest workshop series, Own Your Voice, brings women together to overcome the roadblocks, expectations, and challenges they face as women communicating in the world. Our goal is to help you tap into your inner voice and needs, and develop the tools and understanding to:
- Speak confidently
- Share authentically
- Communicate powerfully
You are your own person — and your thoughts and feelings matter. You deserve to own your voice!
About The Workshop
Each workshop invites a group of women (up to 8 people) for a 1.5-hour session. We use a mixture of freewriting, writing prompts, and conversation to help you tap into the perspectives hiding within you — so you process and understand them. And we’ll offer different workshop topics along the way to help you build on your learning and development.
We believe women are their best selves when they allow their thoughts and feelings to exist. And together, we want to help you embrace your inner power and emerge stronger than ever!
Each workshop is free for the community! Since we host up to 8 women, registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you sign up and are unable to attend, please contact us at least 48 hours before the workshop, so we can let someone else register from our waiting list.
Who Can Attend
We welcome all adults who identify as female.
Have questions? Feel free to reach out. We look forward to hosting you!
