Have you heard the news? Richmond, Virginia, is officially a Compassionate City!
And, we were honored to collaborate with Mollie Reinhart and team to help create the foundational language. Empathy and citizens-first, clear language were important language features to weave in. We’re excited for how the messaging turned out!
We enjoyed the collaboration — and look forward to seeing this movement grow. 😊
Compassionate City – Proclamation
In May 2020, Richmond, Virginia, officially joined a movement of cities from around the world that choose to lead with compassion! This Proclamation sets the foundation for how Richmond will lead and govern. Kudos to everyone who came together to prioritize how important compassion is for all who call Richmond home.
Check out Mayor Stoney’s official announcement of being a City of Compassion!
“Together, we care. Connected, we thrive. As One Richmond, we’re RVAStrong.”
Befriend – connection through compassion
Befriend is a new initiative launched with the Proclamation to connect Richmonders from across the city to foster friendships. The goal is to unite our City together so that we build bridges instead of walls. By doing so, we can lift each other up to reach our full potential.
Launched by Richmond citizen Mollie Reinhart, Befriend started out as an idea to deepen her volunteer efforts. From there, the concept quickly blossomed into a movement! Befriend now has a platform with the City, and Mayor Stoney invites all citizens to become involved.
Supporting initiatives that focus on making our great city a better place is something we greatly care about here at Zuula. From the mission to the tagline and beyond, we loved bringing this brand language to life. Using language to help bring positivity into the world warms our Zuulisticators’ hearts! Thank you to Mollie and her team for including us in this journey.
